Sweet November Fae-bruary Week 3

There is a fun challenge each week in the Sweet November Stamps Facebook Group for Fae-bruary!! For the third week the theme is Fairies and Florals.

There were a lot of options for this week's theme but I decided to use the April Daisy Fairy for this week along with some pretty floral papers from Not 2 Shabby.

For today's card I started by doing some stenciling with the Little Paw stencil that comes in the kit. I used Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink for a pretty yellow. It's a very light yellow so it will be a subtle background.

After it dried and I cleaned up my area, I tried to match it to the papers in the Fur Babies 6x6 Paper Pad and decided that I didn't like any combos so I set it aside and went in a different direction! Does that ever happen to you? At least I have it for a future card!

I thought on it for a bit and then chose my papers. I usually go for bright colors but thought these neutral papers would be fun to create with.

I stamped my images, colored them with copics and then fussy cut them out.

For my layout I used Sketch 36 from the book available at the Crafty Stamp Co., Inspired By The Sketch.

Love Birds

I am so excited to be able to announce that I'm joining the regular design team at the Crafty Stamp Co.! I am still on the Crafty Crew Kit team too so I will have lots of Crafty Stamp Co. inspiration coming your way!!

Today I'm sharing how I created a card using the Love Is In The Air stamp set. What a super sweet set!!

I started my card by choosing my papers from the Spring Is In The Air 6x6 paper pad.

Next I stamped, colored and cut out the image with a die from my stash.

To finish the card I cut out my papers with dies from my stash to create my layout, stamped a sentiment,  added some white gel pen details and put it all together. I did pop the sentiment up on some foam dots for some dimension.

A very sweet card for some new or old love birds!

You're Truly Amazing

I found this fun digital stamp, Glasses on My Nose by Krista Smith in my folder of printed images and thought it'd be fun to color her up and get her on a card.

I think this image looks so similar to my daughter. I was smiling the whole time I was coloring and creating. I did giggle though as when I was putting the card front onto the card base I put it upside down from what I had in my mind. It still works but it just wasn't what I had envisioned. 

I think this is the first time I've attempted to color a wallpaper. It's crooked but I think it turned out kind of fun and funky!

I thought it would be fun to create a card from each of the TOP Inky Inspiration Sketches that Crystal Minkler puts out in her Tawny Owl Paperie | Inky Inspiration group. I've used her sketches often but haven't started at the beginning and worked my through them all.

You've Got Mail!

I recently found an envelope full of partially colored images that I had used for videos showing how to create texture, use stencils on images, etc. I decided in the spirit of using my stash that I would work on getting those images onto cards!

The first images I used are the cute quokkas from the Valentine Quokka stamp set. So super sweet and cute!!

I am excited to get these images onto cards and also excited to use the digital stamps I had already printed out that I also discovered!

Challenge #4- Green | Tiki Gnomes

Today starts Challenge #4 in my Facebook group. Challenge #4 is a color challenge: Use Green!! I originally thought about making St. Patrick's Day cards, and I still might, but then decided to show some other "green" you could use.

I went with a Tiki theme for these cards to show that green is more than St. Patrick's Day!

I think the Build A Booth is one of my favorite dies from Jaded Blossom. It's just so versatile!

Sweet November Stamps Fae-bruary Challenge Week 2

There is a fun challenge each week in the Sweet November Stamps Facebook Group for Fae-bruary!! For the second week the theme is Pink and Green.

I looked through my stash and decided to use the Valentine Sweetwees since it is Valentine's Day! They are so cute!

I used the Frames & Tags die from Newton's Nook for the layout with some Doodlebug papers. I wanted the little Sweetwee who is colored with copics to stand out a bit from the background (plus it's a different pink for her balloon/lollipop) so I embossed an oval with a favorite embossing folder, Swiss Dots.

I finished off the card with a few bits from This Calls For Confetti and added some white gel pen highlights.

I have a sweet card today using the Unity Stamps Ruff, Ruff, Ruff stamp set and the Unity stamps Calico Country 6x6 Paper Pad. Both the dog and the 6x6 paper pad are part of February's Use Your Stash prompts, yay!

I just want to scoop up this duo and love on them, so super sweet!!
