Hope your day is ducky!

On my cruise I met a new friend and really wanted to create a card for her to thank her for helping to make my first cruise fun despite me not feeling well almost the whole time. She really is into hiding the ducks on cruises so I wanted to create a ducky card for her.

I thought the ducks in the Kraftin' Kimmie Lucky Ducks stamp set were perfect! I paired them with a fun collage die and papers from Sunny Studio.

I hope she likes it and it brings a smile to her!!

Today's card uses an older stamp set from Sweet N' Sassy Stamps (now Creative Worship--I couldn't find this stamp on their site so it must be retired) called Mer-Mazing. I just love how cute this mermaid is and all the fun shell, sea critters, etc. that are in the set.

My Life Would Succ Without You

This is another image I found recently in an envelope full of images partially colored that I had used to teach texture with copic coloring, using stencils with images, etc. 

This is a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp set, Lookin' Sharp. I couldn't find the stamp set on the Kraftin' Kimmie website so I'm assuming it's retired. I finished coloring the image, just the pot the succulent is in, and paired it with some papers from Not 2 Shabby, Cup of Flowers.

Be A Mermaid

In an effort to Use My Stash I decided to color up some digital images that I have printed. In the folder where I had those printed images I found an envelope full of partially colored stamps from Kraftin' Kimmie (and other companies) that I had used to create videos on adding texture to copic coloring, using stencils on your stamped images, etc. I decided that I would take some time and finish coloring the images and get them onto cards. 

There were A LOT of Kraftin' Kimmie images so I'm sure there will be several posts sharing the cards. For today's post I decided to create a card with the Be A Mermaid stamp set. 

I created the background for my card by putting some drops of several blue SU ink refills on my glassboard and then spritzed with water and then did some ink smooshing. I also grabbed some saran wrap to add some texture (crinkled chalk technique). Once I got it how I liked I spritzed it with some Peacock Feathers Distress Spritz for some shimmer. I die cut a circle out of my background and put it on an embossed white background. 

I had one mermaid with her dolphin friend colored already but I decided I wanted to add another mermaid and dolphin to the card so I colored them up.

The card needed something else so I pulled out the Scrappy Boy Stamps Under The Sea Scene Builder dies and added some sea plants. I die cut them out of white cardstock and then colored them with copics.

The photos don't really do this card justice as it's so pretty in real life.

My first card uses a stamp set and papers that are retired from Scrappy Boy Stamps. I really am enjoying using my stash whether things are current or retired! Don't they look like they are having the best time? They make me smile!

My next card uses an old MFT set that I've had for years and I'm not sure if I've ever used it, maybe once or twice. I used a sketch for my layout from the Tawny Owl Paperie | Inky Inspiration group, TOP Inky Inspiration Sketch 10.

It's time for more treat boxes for the craft fair

It's that time of year again where I start getting things ready for the next craft fair, which is happening October 11, 2025! Time flies!

I didn't make any treat boxes for the spring craft fair and actually had people ask for them so I'm making some to take to the fall one. A few Christmas and a few Halloween.
