MerMay 2026- Splish, Splash

It's time!! Time for what? Time for MerMay 2026!! I debated about doing it again this year but it brings me so much joy that I decided I just have to do it even if I don't get a card done every day!

If you are new to my blog, my love of mermaids started with a friend Heidi who LOVES mermaids and my cardmaking idol, Amy Young, who is the artist/owner of Sweet November Stamps. I was introduced to MerMay through Amy and love that each year Sweet November Stamps does challenges each may involving mermaids!

I looked back and I think I've been doing a MerMay series since around 2020. Some years I manage to get a mermaid card done each day, other years not so often but they still make me so happy to create no matter how many I get done.

I actually started creating my MerMay cards in late March since I knew I had some trips in April/beginning of May (I'm actually in Vegas celebrating my 27 wedding anniversary today!)

One of the challenges that Sweet November Stamps usually has is a coloring challenge. I love that each year I can pull out my stash of colored mermaids to get my mermaid mojo going!

My card today is a little wild! LOL! I saw these Merwees all colored up and decided to go for a party, fun theme with bright colorful papers!  Don't they look like they are having the best time!! I really like how it came out and how it's so different than most of my mermaid cards! I used several things from my stash so that felt good too!

Tag A Day November 2025 | Day 12

I started doing Tag A Day November in 2022 and each year I get excited for it! This year I'm switching things up and am going to be doing only holiday/Christmas/winter tags. You can watch a short video each day on my YouTube Channel where I'll share that day's tag and the supplies used for it.

January 2020 SheetLoad of Cards | Thank You For Being Part Of Our Happily Ever After

This is the final set of thank you cards for my daughter! I think I made close to 50 cards for her! I used the January 2020 SheetLoad of Cards for this set! I was so happy to find I had the sentiment in an older SU set, All Things Thanks! It was perfect!!

Using my Color Cubes for the first time!!

I love watching Crafty Al, and other crafters,use their Color Cube cards for inspiration for their cards and projects. I swore I didn’t need the Color Cubes but, here I am being a follower and now the proud owner of them.

Today I’m sharing my very first card inspired by the Color Cubes! I had my hubby choose a number and then I used that card. He chose 333! I used the card to help choose my papers and colors for my image/cardstock, etc.  It was fun to approach creating my card this way and I look forward to using these Color Cubes often in the future!!

 

I also “used my stash”- 6x6 paper pad and a stamp set I’ve never used before!

Enjoy The Little Things | Sweet November Stamps Fairy Tot March

Sweet November Stamps has a fun challenge for February! Each week you can enter a fairy creation in their Facebook group and on IG with a weekly hashtag. At the end of the month you can receive an exclusive digi so I thought I'd try and play along.

For my card for the second week of the challenge I found the Fairy Tot March digi already printed out so I decided to color her up. She's so sweet and I just had to give her some freckles!

The sentiment is from a retired Kraftin' Kimmie stamp set, Fancy Florals. It was perfect as I just didn't like all the "good luck" or luck sentiments I had.

Sweet November Stamps June Swap-Fairies

I recently joined in the swap for June at Sweet November Stamps. The theme is Fairies!  I found the July Fairy Tot already printed out in my digi file folder so I decided to color her up!

I used a Mojo Monday Sketch for my layout- Sketch 471!

I had to switch some things around on the sketch to make it work but in the end I like how it turned out so hopefully my partner will too!

I am totally stealing an idea (with permission) from a friend in my swap group. She sent me an ATC for a swap and the way she put it in a card to mail it was with a gift card holder die! I LOVED that idea so I just had to create some cards to send the ATCs from yesterday's post!

I just love how the ATCs fit right in the gift card holder slots! I wish I had thought of this sooner!!
