Sweet November Fae-bruary Challenge- Week 1

There is a fun challenge each week in the Sweet November Stamps Facebook Group for Fae-bruary!! For the first week the theme is Fairies and Toadstools.

I looked through my Sweet November Stamps both digital and clear and found a digital stamp from a previous Fae-bruary called Cecily. She was perfect for this week's challenge!

I printed her a bit bigger than I planned so the card will have to go in a slightly larger envelope than an A2 size but that's okay! Many cards that are bigger I put into a padded envelope--just to be sure there's no postal issues.

I found some fun papers in my stash, SU Toadstool Gardens 6x6 Designer Series Paper. Even though not much of the paper is showing, it still makes me happy to have it there plus it helped me with what colors I wanted to use. I was a little biased to the paper though as it's my favorite color combo, pink & orange!

I felt the card needed a little something so I grabbed out my favorite Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and added some butterflies. To finish the card I added some details with a white gel pen and some stickles to the fairy's wings

I added some butterflies to the inside of the card too. Unfortunately the glue wasn't dry when I closed the card so when I opened it a little bit stuck the butterflies. I fixed the mistake by adding some antennae with a copic. I'm glad it worked!!

Have a fairy good day! Go do something for yourself and go get crafty!

Be A Mermaid

In an effort to Use My Stash I decided to color up some digital images that I have printed. In the folder where I had those printed images I found an envelope full of partially colored stamps from Kraftin' Kimmie (and other companies) that I had used to create videos on adding texture to copic coloring, using stencils on your stamped images, etc. I decided that I would take some time and finish coloring the images and get them onto cards.

There were A LOT of Kraftin' Kimmie images so I'm sure there will be several posts sharing the cards. For today's post I decided to create a card with the Be A Mermaid stamp set

I created the background for my card by putting some drops of several blue SU ink refills on my glassboard and then spritzed with water and then did some ink smooshing. I also grabbed some saran wrap to add some texture (crinkled chalk technique). Once I got it how I liked I spritzed it with some Peacock Feathers Distress Spritz for some shimmer. I die cut a circle out of my background and put it on an embossed white background.

I had one mermaid with her dolphin friend colored already but I decided I wanted to add another mermaid and dolphin to the card so I colored them up.

The card needed something else so I pulled out the Scrappy Boy Stamps Under The Sea Scene Builder dies and added some sea plants. I die cut them out of white cardstock and then colored them with copics.

The photos don't really do this card justice as it's so pretty in real life.

Neighborhood Bar Cards

I've been binge watching Cheers on Paramount + and thought it would be fun to create some cards/gift cards based on the show. Scrappy Boy Stamps has a great collection of crafty goodies inspired by this fun show! The Neighborhood Bar Collection is perfect and just so fun!!

First I created a gift card holder card with the character that reminds me of Norm from the show!

Next is a gift card holder card with just a sentiment.

I have a craft fair next month so next I created another gift card holder, this time it's a stand alone one.

Finally I created a card using the characters that remind me of Sam and Diane.

These were all so much fun to create and I hope to revisit this collection again!!

Have a great day! Go do something for yourself and go get crafty!

Fairy Hair

The Sweet November Stamps Facebook challenge for February is Anything Goes but you get double entries if you use a fairy. I wanted to play along and since they do Fae-bruary I figured I'd chose some fairies for my card!

Today's card uses the fun Fairy Hair stamp set along with some cute Doodlebug papers!

I thought it would be fun to create a card from each of the TOP Inky Inspiration Sketches that Crystal Minkler puts out in her Tawny Owl Paperie | Inky Inspiration group. I've used her sketches often but haven't started at the beginning and worked my through them all.

Today I have used Sketch 14~
For my card today I had fun with the Food Pairs stamp set from Pink & Main! It works perfectly for my February Use Your Stash prompt of Food/Baking! Plus I've never used it before, yay! Also a bonus is that I used some of my beloved Basic Grey 6x6 papers, another Use Your Stash prompt for February!

I made the strips with the Kat Scrappiness A2 Stitched Strips dies and let me tell you, good luck creating with lots of paper strips when you have a playful cat around! I had to rescue several of the strips from Alyssa (my cat).

Have a wonderful day! Go do something for yourself and go get crafty!
