Husker Gnomes for Craft Fair

At the spring craft fair I had a few requests for "Husker" gnome cards so I made a few to take to the upcoming craft fair in October. I've never lived in a state that loves their college football team as much as Nebraska does! I did one card with more than football since the college does have other teams besides football, LOL!

Have a super day! Go do something for yourself and go get crafty!

Inky Paws Challenge #242 Week 2

Today I have more inspiration for the current Inky Paws Challenge! The challenge runs through August 1, 2025! Link your creations on the Inky Paws Challenge Blog for a chance to win $20 store credit at the Newton's Nook Shop! Check out the Challenge Rules before you create your project!

It's all about the colors for this challenge! Use Cotton Candy Pink, Orange Sherbet, Turquoise and Royal Blue.

For today's card I tried to match the colors with inks I own and did some easy stenciling with the Petite Flowers Stencil. I then picked out my stamp set, Oink. I thought the cute piggies would be fun with the flowers.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to grab out your Newton's Nook goodies and come play along with us at the Inky Paws Challenge!!

Mer-May 2025 Day 3 | Salty But Sweet

It's Day 3 of my Mer-May 2025 series!! You can watch today's video HERE!!

I found all the mermaids and most of their sea critter friends colored up from the Sweet November Stamps Salty but Sweet stamp set so I decided to use them. I may have gone a little overboard but I wanted them all on the card. LOL!

Since I knew that the front of the card would be filled with stamped images I wanted to keep it simple so I ink blended some SU Tempting Turquoise ink and then stenciled the Kraftin' Kimmie Whimsical Winds over the ink blended background in SU Pacific Point ink.

One of the mermaids didn't really stand out so I decided to add a vellum piece to mute the background a bit. I really like the end result!

I added the sentiment to the inside since there wasn't room on the front.

Have a great day!! Go do something for yourself and go get crafty!

April 2025 Color Cube Collab with Fresh and Renewed with Teresa | You Make Me Happy

I'm excited to be doing a little collab today with my friend, Teresa of the Fresh and Renewed with Teresa channel! We are both using our color cube cards today! You can watch my video HERE!!

My hubby chose card #69 for me to use. I have to admit, I struggled a bit with this color palette but I didn't give up and kept going!!

My card uses the Waffle Flower Postage Die and Postage Collage Coloring Stencil. I didn't have the exact colors of the color cube card but I got close enough. I tried to make the card work with the Concord & 9th Kristina Werner Checking In stamps/dies but I just didn't like it so I switched gears to use the You Are My Sunshine stamp set from The Greeting Farm.

In the end I like it much better with the cute bear and the added oval. A reminder to myself to just keep going!!

I created a background for my character using some stencils from A Colorful Life and Newton's Nook. I had the grass stencil upside down at first so my hills have a rare species of grass. LOL!! But in the end it turned out fun and cute!!

Virtual Stamp Joy 2025

I participated in my first Virtual Stamp Joy the past two days! It is an event put on by Taylored Expressions and one that I hope to attend again!

I was very hesitant to sign up but my best friend, Crafty Al, assured me that I would enjoy it, so I signed up. I went over to her house and we did all the classes together. I am SO glad I did this event as I had the BEST time and enjoyed it all.

It was so fun to learn new techniques and to revisit ones I had forgotten about!

The first day was two sessions- Interactive and Elevating Your Die Cuts. I LOVED the interactive classes. I got to create my first light up card and can't wait to do more! The rip strip card was so fun too...who am I kidding, they are all so fun!

On Saturday there were 7 classes. I am tired after all this crafting but loved it!

I don't think I could pick a favorite! All were so unique and they turned out so nice. I didn't do all the techniques on my cards but can't wait to try them in my regular crafting.

Here's the aftermath when I got home last night-

Virtual Stamp Joy is definitely an event I would highly recommend! I hope to attend regular Stamp Joy some day too but it might be awhile as it usually falls on the same weekend as the fall craft fair I participate in.

Thanks for stopping by and go do something for yourself and go get crafty!!
