Always Sea Life's Beauty

I was in a mermaid mood today so I chose Make A Splash Meadow to create with. She's such a beautiful mermaid!

I colored her with my Copics and then fussy cut her out.

White Gel Pen

After she was all colored and cut out I paired her with the Sea Shells & Sea Horses 6x6 paper pad. I stamped the sentiment right onto the paper in black so it would stand out. What a beautiful sentiment, "Always Sea Life's Beauty".

Mer-Caffeine Cards

Today I have the fifth and sixth card that is finished from the Copic Coloring Tutorial- Koi Fish Inspired Coloring Video. You can watch the video HERE!!

Today's stamp set is from Crafty Stamp Co. and is called Mer-Caffeine. I colored two images from this stamp set so I have two cards today!

I kept both layouts very similar and used a white background because I was not feeling like cutting out the space between the handle and cup, LOL! I really like how they both came out and think they are so fun!

On the purple cup I used a Scrapbook.com Lavender Glitter Brush Marker and on the pink cup I used a pink glaze pen.

Which one do you like the best? I can't decide so I choose both!

Our Friendship Is Golden

Today I have the first card that is finished from the Copic Coloring Tutorial- Koi Fish Inspired Coloring Video. You can watch the video HERE!!

I plan on creating a card with each image that used to demonstrate the technique and create a video sharing them all together. 

The stamp set I used for today's card is Goldie from Sweet November Stamps. It is the stamp set that first inspired me to try and figure out this technique. Here is what I had colored on the video~

I didn't like the light yellow I used to fill in the white space so I added a darker one when I completed coloring the images. I also forgot to say in the video that adding some tiny dots add more interest. Here's the completed images~

I tried to find some patterned paper to complete the card but nothing really worked so I pulled out the Sweet November Stamps Background Builder: Kelp Bed stamp set and created a background. I didn't do very detailed coloring because I knew I wanted the mermaid and fishy friends to stand out against the green/blue.

I used my Scrappy Boy Stamps Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out the panels for my card. I thought a little black border would be nice and I was so pleased with the end result. I did pop up the main layer on some foam strips.

The final step was to finish the inside of the card. I stamped the sentiment, Our Friendship is Golden and added one of the cute fish.

I am really pleased with how this came out and how the mermaid and fish are the stars of the card.

MerMay 2026- Bubble Over

I blinked and the month is almost over! I realized I never played along with the Sweet November Stamps monthly challenge in their Facebook group so I figured I'd best get on that! LOL! 

This month the theme is Anything Goes but you get double entries if you use a mermaid (you can guess that I used a mermaid). 

I found the sweet little merwees all colored up so I used them. They are from the Merwee Set #1 stamp set.

I paired them with some Echo Park papers and dies from Scrappy Boy Stamps. I think they are all adorable with their bubbles!

I have another mermaid for MerMay today! This one is a special mermaid, a cat mermaid!! The new Whiskers of the Sea stamp set from Crafty Stamp Co. is so fun! I used the Watercolor Birthday 6x6 paper pad for this card too!

I have another fun MerMay card today! I used the Finned Friends stamp set from Crafty Stamp Co. and their For The Gentlemen 6x6 paper pad. Even though it's a mermaid card, you don't have to stick with just mermaid themed papers!

I created this card as a mini slimline card. A fun size that I often forget about but I do like it!

I colored up the mermaid/merman in koi fish inspired patterns. A super easy technique, just add some spots of a darker color and then pull that color out with a light color. 

I really like the sentiment, You're mer-tastic! I think that will make anyone smile!

I got this mermaid set, Shimmer and Shine from Sweet November Stamps last year and hadn't used it yet so I just *had* to get it out and color it up! I hope to color the other mermaid in the set soon!!

Today's card uses an older stamp set from Sweet N' Sassy Stamps (now Creative Worship--I couldn't find this stamp on their site so it must be retired) called Mer-Mazing. I just love how cute this mermaid is and all the fun shell, sea critters, etc. that are in the set.

MerMay 2026- Make a Splash

For today's card I pulled out the Mermaid Party stamp set from C.C. Designs! Such fun mermaids in this set! I paired my mermaid and her turtle friend with papers from Doodlebug's Seaside Summer 6x6 paper pad and used Mojo Monday Sketch #9 for my layout.

I didn't add an embellishment as designated by the star but added a sentiment and it just flowed better where I put it instead of where the sketch had it. Sketches are a great starting point but always good to make them your own.

  

I think this mermaid is just so adorable and sweet with her turtle friend! This card makes me smile!
