Birthday Card A Day September 2023- Day 1

I'm excited to start a new series: Birthday Card A Day September 2023!! Each day in September I will have a new birthday card to share with you! I had this idea because 1) it's my birthday month, 2) I'm hosting a birthday card challenge in the Crafty Fun With Friends of LV Handcrafted Group and 3) I thought it would be a great way to build up my stash of birthday cards!

A little secret, I started making these cards at the end of July so I'm hopeful that I really can have a birthday card each day in September! 

I'm kicking things off by using the Unicorn Bday Anya stamp set from The Greeting Farm and some paper from My Mind's Eye My Girl 6x6 Paper Pad. I looked, the paper is from 2013!! Go me shopping the stash! LOL!

I decided that I wanted to use a sketch so I chose Mojo Monday Sketch 523.

Once I had all the pieces cut out I decided to make them stand out from each other a bit with some ink blending. I rarely do this but it does help when you don't want to add layers. I also decided to add some sparkle by adding some Unicorn Stickles to the edges. I love that extra little touch.

I added some touches of stickles to her once she was colored too! Love the sparkle!

I put the sentiment on the inside and also ink blended around the edge of the inside cardstock as well to make it all cohesive.
