You Shine!

At the end of July we had a doozy of a storm go through our area. They compared it to a Stage 2 Hurricane which is crazy! It was the largest power outage in history for our power company. We were without power for 50 hours, which was actually a short time because there was just so much damage to the power lines and stuff.

During that time my bestie, Crafty Al, let me come over and charge things since she had power and gave me a battery thing to take home to charge things as well. I really appreciated it so I wanted to make a card for her to thank her.

I went through my stash and remembered this old MFT stamp, A La Modes Lightbulb Moment. I thought it was perfect. I pulled out some MFT Rainbow Love 6x6 Paper and the MFT Blueprints 29 Die to make the card.

To finish off the card I added some Pink & Main Touch of Gloss to the lightbulb to make is shine.

Scrappy Boy Stamps August 2024 Release Stencils

The more I play with stencils, the more I am enjoying them so I thought it would be fun to play with the newly released stencils from the August 2024 Scrappy Boy Stamps Release: Basket Weave Background Stencil, Witch Hats & Bats Background Stencil and Spooky Eyes Background Stencil. I will have a video up later today on the Scrappy Boy Stamps Channel creating some backgrounds with these stencils, all of these stenciled backgrounds were created on that video!

My first card uses the Basket Weave Background Stencil with some distress oxide inks and a fun technique using the Stitched Nesting Circles dies. So fun!

Next I used the Spooky Eyes Background Stencil with some Lunar Paste.

I decided to make a tag with Witch Hats & Bats Background Stencil.

Animal Land Switch Card

My daughter had so much fun with her Switch playing Animal Crossing that I ended up getting my own switch and I might be slightly addicted to Animal Crossing now. I thought it would be fun to create a card for her to thank her for helping me learn the game so when I saw all the Animal Crossing fandom themed goodies at The Sassy Club, I just had to get them!!

Inky Paws Challenge #230- More Inspiration

I pulled out the Trailing Leaves Stencil to create my background and use the colors and then added Newton's Hanging Basket stamp to it. My inspiration was from design team samples I spied on the shop website. I love how it turned out!!

InkyStamper Buggy Cards

One of the people I got to see at the Scrapbook Expo in Schaumburg, IL was Chelsea Comer who is the owner of InkyStamper. Chelsea and I met many years ago when we both sold crafty products from The Angel Company which is long closed. It was fun to see Chelsea again after all this time.

I haven't ever had any of her stamps before but three sets (stamps/die) came home with me! They are all from what she calls Bug Jar. I got Roly Poly, Praying Mantis and Housefly. They are so fun and so unique! Not going to lie, there are several other sets from this Bug Jar collection that might need to make their way to my craft room! I think the punny sentiments are so fun!

I thought it would be fun to see each set with the same sketch. Here's the sketch I chose from Mojo Monday, Sketch 563.
